Changes in Apelon DTS 4.9.0
DTS 4.9 expands support for modern deployment environments while introducing a range of security, supportability, and usability updates. Supported environments for DTS 4.9 include Windows 11 Professional, Windows Server 2019 and 2022, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, and AlmaLinux 8. Database support includes MySQL 8.4 LTS and Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2025, while application server support includes JBoss EAP 7.4 Update 23 and WildFly 26.1.3.Final. Please refer to the DTS Installation Guide and Release Notes in our Documentation Center for a complete list of supported environments.
NOTE: Beginning with DTS 4.9, Oracle databases and GlassFish application servers are no longer supported. DTS 4.8 was the final release supporting these environments. DTS 4.9 is also the last version planned to support Microsoft SQL Server 2019, and organizations currently using SQL Server 2019 should plan to migrate to a newer supported database version before a future DTS release removes support.
DTS 4.9 also includes significant runtime and dependency updates. The Windows installation now includes the Eclipse Temurin OpenJDK 8 JRE for DTS Editor use, replacing the previously bundled Oracle Java 8 JRE. Log4j has been upgraded to version 2.25.5, SLF4J has been standardized on version 2.0.17, and a number of third-party libraries have been updated. The release also includes DTS Editor usability improvements, enhanced Module Manager URL handling with HTTPS support, and fixes across TQL, Import Wizard, Excel Wizard, DTS Browser, Concept Walker, and other DTS components.
